Default trans problem/help

tranny problem

OK, so I have a 2006 2500 gas/auto trans
last night drive on a HI way, going @75 mph, the trans stopped working, like it fell into neural,
BUT for just a few seconds , as the rpm's dropped to what it would be at , at idle(say 700 rpm) then shot back up to 2500 as I was going up a hill
happened so fast didn;t think much of it, just dumb luck I was looking at the tach when it happened
other wise seemed to run fine

OK< so today driving down a 4 lane, at 50 mph, again it happened, ONLY this time, it never came back to in gear, was in drive, and I got a electrical buzzing sound, and the truck had no more gears that worked, no drive, no reverse, no nothing, coasted to the side of the road
and as long as I wasn't in Park, it gave a buzzing noise, I could hear in the truck, some what faint, but a buzz, that stopped when I put in park, put back in gear(D or R) and buzz comes back

sat for a few minutes with motor off
tried going again, and nothing
ended up on a flat bed, NOW at a local dealer
any idea's what is wrong
owned truck since new, run Amsoil in trans, change every 50,000 miles, have 124,000 miles on truck/trans right now
there is NO fluid leaking , everything seems fine, just no go?

If it is at a local dealer, they will scan and diagnose and let you know what is wrong. We can't tell you anything accurate without knowing the DTC codes of the transmission failure

thanks, dealer just called me and
I was asked why the fluid in the trans looks like new??
I said, well I changed it about 40,000 miles ago or so? a yr and half
so??
I then asked what does that have to do with the problem??
they said, well cause we wanted to know who put new fluid in it?
I said I did, why
OH just asking(they weren't happy I did the job without paying them and got snotty)
I said well what's wrong with my trans
they said don't know
BUT can sell me a used one with 90k on it for 2 grand installed, or a re MFG one from dodge for $3500 wouldn';t even guess at whats wrong or NOT with it, just wnat to replace it, not fix it!
SO I called about, and found a place that build upgraded trans

http://www.levelten.com/Dodge_Truck_...ssion_s/50.htm
anyone know anything about thses guys??
any how, they offered me a upgraded trans, for a bunch less than what the dodge dealer wants for a re manufactored trans
they offered to ship it to the dealer too for free
I asked dealer if they would install and they got pissy and said HELL NO!
I explained that there was a big price difference, and I am on a budget
so??
still wouldn';t budge
so contacted the shop above, they offred to come get the truck and do the install
so its going to this shop
I hope there stuff is as good as they say
so if anyone know anything about them, please let me know
won';t be getting picked up till Monday!
thanks for the reply and info

Never heard of them.

Whats wrong with your current transmission?

Loads of tuning ability with Superchips and Diablo tuners for the transmissions.

SUPERCHIPS info

My trans is not working at all right now, its at a dodge dealer who says it needs to be replaced
have no idea what's wrong with mine(see post started on it) they just want to sell me a new one I think
but have a 124k on this one, and it does nothing when in gear but make a electricla buzzing noise, no resistance or movement/engagement of any sorts

Hmm. Could be a couple of things. Bad torque converter clutch, busted sungear..etc

I do know a member who bought a Level II
http://sharadon.com/sdtestparts.htm

You will want/need a new Torque converter with a trans. You never know what is in your old one.

there trans comes with a new torque converter, set up to work with there trans
they insure me its a must better upgrade than the factory one
and offer a 3 yr 100k warranty?
this time of yrs I need the truck more than other's, so if I can save a grnad or mroe and get an upgraded trans?? seems like a better deal than another OEM trans
or am I wrong for thinking this way??

boy they sure do want a lot of money... But I'm sure the components they use are upgraded and far superior to the stock components.
These transmissions are generally very good to begin with, so anything upgraded will be able to take a whoopin.

I merged your threads so everything is together and combined. It makes it easier for others to respond to.

thanks
I was hoping to get a lot more life out of the stock trans, as the whole truck is stock, and I run good Amsoil in the trans since the first change at 20k
figured it should have lasted for 200k+
but again I think when you have to replace, if its feasaable to upgrade, why not, I just don't want to buy something that isn't up to pat with stock
not every so called upgrade is a upgrade
I have seen NOW mixed reviews on level 10, so happy some pissed about poor work
but the poor work seems to be on repair jobs and not replacement trans
so now I am wondering what to do??
I know the stock trans lasted 100+ k
so, any suggestions folks
be willing to hear them
