Default Will older rims..

Hey, I was just wondering if older rims from a ram [second gen I guess? like 1998 style] would work on a newer ram [2003] Are they the same bolt-pattern?

i'm almost 100% positive that the 2nd gen rims with fit because they all use the 5x5.5 bolt pattern, but some problems i think people are coming across with with the smaller lik 16" rims is that they wont clear the brake calipers, but might want to ask someone else just to make sure, hope this helps

If they are 17", most likely will fit. If they are 16", will not fit.

No they will not fit as they are likely the 16" variety. You need at least a 17" rim to clear the brakes.

Check clearance. As noted brake calipers are the issue. Depending on amount of interference and the design of the caliper, a little judicious grinding on the caliper might allow fitment--or not.

All the best.

Eh, I just decided to go with buying 17" steel rims off Stump_Breaker, for the winter. I figured its not worth the effort to **** with 16"

Good choice because you would have to grind off about 1/4th of the caliper if you went with 16s, make sure you research the wheels good, because there are 17s that won't fit the current Ram.
