Default What the Eff is this Engine Noise ?!?!?!?!?

I have a 5.7l hemi runs good no engine light on, but make a light rattle, louder noise. but not loud enough for a engine knock.. I have removed all the pulleys and the drive belt the crank the water pump, inspected the timing, put the timing cover back on and started it and the noise is still there, 1) could it be the oil pump not working, under the valve covers look dry for oil consumption but the engine has normal oil pressure on the gauge. 2) could the noise come from the valves, or cylinder head, im in the process of removing them now,, the intake is off and the valves exposed look to be clean. any help or idea would be great. Also the engine seem to have no coolant leaks , no oil leaks.
Any Idea?
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure it's the engine? A busted up catalytic converter can rattle. The flex plate bolts have also been known to work loose and cause a rattle.

U sure its not the hemi tick??? If the noise sounds like a tick coming from underneath the vehicle that's what it is..

Is this a new sound that you have not noticed before? Is the vehicle new to you? It does sound like you are describing the Hemi Tick, which should have been evident for some time if you've owned the truck a while. If it is new to you, this is normal for this particular engine (assuming it's the Tick). If it is simply a new noise not present before, have you done any offroading or splashed through anything deep/muddy? I had a sort of rattling/vibrating noise a while back that I couldn't place. Turned out it was the condenser fan a little out of balance with dirt on the blades. Once I sprayed it all off it was smooth and quiet again.

Thanks! Finally got it all taken apart and found a bent connecting rod on the 5th cylinder. Now I just need to figure out where I can purchase ONE connecting rod (because I am cheap haha) Othwerwise the engine looks great besides some broken exhaust bolts
