Has anyone had trouble with their truck taking gas ?mine keeps shutting off the pump handle while trying to fill up,whether it's empty,partially full ,pump handle all the way in,partially out etc.. dealership has already replaced fuel tank and filler neck assembly,still does it any idea's?

souns like either the filler neck or vent tube are getting restricted some how.

 

Never heard of a Ram that didn't like gas. Never had that prob with mine, it just "burps" fuel down the side everytime it's full.

 

Haven't had any problems with mine, other than it being extremely thirsty for more!!

 

Is it just one gas station or will it do this everywhere? Sometimes mine is fussy but I have always gotten it to take fuel. I just adjust the depth of the pump neck in the filler pipe. I ususally have to back it out an inch and then fuel runs right in.

 

Lucky you! Mine loves nothing better than to suck the gas out of any station I drive by.

If its a pump with the spring loaded accordian type nozzle, that could be a problem. On my other car it would not take gas from these, dunno if it didn't compress enough for the nozzle to reach all the way down the filler or what.

 

funny that you show the kid pissing on the Ford, all the yrs. I had Fords hardly had any trouble.But now I got this Dodge in 17 k miles it's been in the dealersip about 8 times ,already had rear end replaced,been in for rough idle tsb.replaced gas tank and filler neck. most likely last dodge. Ifeel like pissing on that Dodge...
