Default Another new guys with questions

Hey guys, just traded in my 2002 1500 2wd 5.9 for an 08 1500 Mega Cab 4wd with the 5.7 hemi. I was wondering, what type of mods might already be on it and how do I findout? I know it as a K&N intake, the exhaust looks stock, but I hear everyone talking about chips or programmers, how do you tell if it has one on it?
It idles will quitely, but when you give it some gas it seems a lot louder than my 5.9 (bone stock) was. So I'm just wonder if something else has been done to it. Here is a picture of it:

You'd have to take it to a dealer or plug a programmer in and see if it will load. The intake alone will make it louder than stock if the silencer (hat) has been removed.

Thanks for the answer! I guess when I take it in for a service I can get it checked out. Yes, the "hat" or cover is off of the intake. It's been a LONG time since I've had a K&N filter. Are they still washable and do you still need to "oil" them?
