Default returning wiper issue's

OK last winter my wipers would go on and then stop at random or NOT work at all
but only in very cold days
I found out many folks had issue's with water getting in the grease and freezing, thus not allowing them to work
Rather than take motor apart and repack with new grease, I just replaced the wiper motor
all worked great for a while, and then randomly they when used wouldn't shut off until I shut the key off(had to shut engine off) OR they would just run and run and not stop
OR some times would stop and then , they would NOT work, unless I manually moved them with the switch, as soon as I released the switch, they would stop where ever, not returning to home position or???

SO< plan B
I have seen posts about the multi function switch being BAD
even a extended warranty on them(10 yrs or 150k miles)
SO went to a dodge dealer, they said my multi function switch was bad
replaced
BUT I still have same issues with wipers??

they said they would need to invest a bunch more time to figure it out, and at 100 bucks an hr
I said, hold off while I look into it myself
SO anyone have any idea's
what where I should look next?
any help would be apprciated

no one has any idea's??
I was looking and I found some treds about the TIPM, or maybe some sort of fuse issue
anyone have any suggestions. solutions to try?
as a new TIPM is well over 600 bucks
any chance the enw motor I installed would ause this??
my experience with electric motor's is, either they work or don't
never seen one that would run hit and miss on its own
that awalsys eemed to dfall moe into a switch issue??
or am I wrong?

Yup, dealt with it before.

Pull the wiper arms off, then remove the cowl.
Remove the wiper assembly, open the box on the end of the motor.
You'll find 2 wiper contact strips and most likely some old grease.
clean it all out, use a pencil eraser, or similar, and clean the contact strips, repack with "not too much" lithium white grease, put it all back together, turn the wipers on.

Its a real stupid design, but it is what it is!

Good Luck!

OK this motor was just replaced like 3 months ago or so?
I kept the OEM one, as I was toldd it was grease freezing in it that was stopping them back then(they just wouldn't turn on at all on cold days)
I took the OEM apart, cleaned like you said, and re greased lightly

BUT I am wondering if it is maybe something else, and not the motor at this point!
But I will try to re install the OEm one and see if issue still there, and if so, what next?
would it have to be the TIPM, or is there something else I can try??
