Default supercharging my 5.7

so i found a guy online who is local to me, he is selling a gsm supercharger kit with a paxton novi 1200 blower, its used but comes with everything to install..cant beat the price.. any input on this? i would love to be running some boost in my sbrc hemi ram..just want some more info on the quality of the kit and what i should look out for, thanks connor

Paxton is reputable but not many people here run SCers. Mainly because they are pricey and require custom tuning. They are not a bolt on and run/use type or setup.

will take some work to install, but they can be fun. You'll need a tune, and different heat range plugs. I prefer dyno tuning compared to using a box tuner (can make adjustments for all kinds of things that a generic one just can't) but they can be expensive

well i talked to the guy some more and the computer the kit comes with is programed with a tune for 91 octain fuel runs 6-7lbs of boost, it has to be wired into the ecm of the truck, i would have to get instalation instructions online, but for 1200 bucks... i think its a deal i almost cant pass up

You should call Paxton or a shop that sells them and get more specific and accurate info as to what all is needed. You don't want to drop 1200 on something you can't use or have a hard time reselling.
