The other day I seen a black rubber hose hanging from the underside of rear of truck. I looked under it and it appears to attach the the top of my brake distributor that sits on my axle and runs up by my rear shock. Any idea what this does. Has had no affect on my brakes at all

 

sounds like the vent for your rear diff, you should tie it up so water/dirt dosnt get in there

It broke off close to the hose clamp and figured I'd just realized clamp it but wasn't sure what it did
