Ok guys I'm pretty new to the gear and pinion swap along with the axle swaps so ima try and fill you guys in my situation the best way I can.

First and foremost I recently bought a 2007 dodge ram 1500 4.7 flex fuel 4x4 stock gears are 3:55.

Tires I'm running are 37x13.5x20 with a 6" RCX lift.
NOTE: there is no LSD

So the question is it worth buying a LSD and putting the 4:56 gears in that I want, or is it possible to swap my 1500 axles our for the 3/4 ton axels or maybe even the 1 ton axles?

I've done some reading up I coulnt really find anything that helps. So any input would be appreciated good or bad lol thanks for reading.

Holy crap, a 4.7 pushing 37's on 20" wheels. I would be looking at 4.88's if I were you, and yes, get an LSD with that pronto.

 

I read if i do alot of highway driving that 4.56 should suffice its my work truck

 

I just had 4.56's put in and I'm running 35's with a Hemi. I would like to see how your truck feels off the line and freeway passing acceleration. Got any pictures of that bad boy, 37's have to look bad a$$.
