Default 2006 5.7 Hemi Rebuild kit

Good day all, new here and trying to find out some info

i have a 2006 2500 megacab with the 5.7 hemi.... i am rebuilding the engine now that i have hit 205000 miles.... but i am not finding rebuild kits... i have found ton on Ebay but dont like using them... i looked on RockAuto but i want to make sure i get the most for my money (i am shiping to alaska so just making sure i get the best price on both part and shipping)

also and upgrades i should do at this point...

I think in your case if you want to minimize shipping costs you would need to break down the motor first to determine what is needed, but this is going to give you a longer down time for the truck.

I've got a wholesale account with Rock Auto, not a big discount one - pretty much their first tier dealer account.


When I rebuilt the 4.7 HO in my Grand Cherokee, they quoted me roughly $1100 to the door for a full rebuild kit. I ended up buying my kit from a place on ebay, I wanna say the name was EngineKitSource.com or something along those lines for $870 to the door.


Funny thing was, my order came in two big boxes BOTH drop shipped directly from Rock Auto!


When I get home from work, I'll check my PC and post it up. I know I have their link saved as I've picked up a few other parts for other vehicles from them since. I know at the time they had both non-MDS and MDS 5.7 rebuild kits at that time.
