I installed the Carli ball joints on my 2004 Dodge ram 2500 Cummins last October. I have liked them a lot. I grease them regularly at every oil change.

Today was the third time I have gone in to grease em. Hadn't had a problem until today. I busted off a grease zerk on the left lower ball joint...

So, now what? There is a gapping hole left in its place now and I suddenly am worried about it.

Anybody have any ideas what I should do here? I won't have to replace the whole ball joint will I? I know that most grease zerks unscrew but this one looks a little different. I also saw a small spring come out with this grease zerk as well. Looked a lot like the detent springs used on an AR15 lower parts kit

Anyhow, anybody have any ideas where I go next with this?

Use an easy out to remove the broken piece in the ball joint, and replace zerk with a new one.

Biggest question is, what thread is the zerk?, it's surprising how many different ones there are.
