Ok checked all coil packs and have .8 and replaced all plugs still running rough and no engine light nor codes what da !!!!!! still sound like a dead cylinder no backfire as if it had a broken spring just spaders. Maybe fuel injectors or cables????? cables have about 80000 on them.

Well, wrong plugs aren't likely to be the root cause. Sounds a lot like a broken valve spring. Mine was the exhaust on #6. Don't run it anymore until you have pulled the valve covers.

Ok I just found number 7 cylinder dead with no compression so this is the problem with my engine. I going to pull out and overhaul the engine and call it final. It has 185597 miles and all american cars suck when it comes to longevity on miles. Thank God this engine lasted as long as it did.

You were advised early on it was likely a broken valve spring. No surprise you don't have compression on a cylinder.

No need to overhaul unless you want to. Just replace the spring(s).

Very very few gas engines get 200K+. On a diesel that is no problem. Has nothing to do with American cars. It has everything to do with a gas engine.

Not to be a hater but most american cars are built with the cheapest products on the market. The cars are built to fail after so many miles. The dodge ram 1500 I have owned since new to me is garbage. The dash started to crack after my warranty expired the interior is very noisy and the seat cover stitching started to come apart on my four year not to mention the a/c Havoc system what a poor system. The engine started to burn oil at 80000. I have a Toyota 91 four-runner with 295670 and the engine uses a quart of oil every 1200 miles. American cars never had a good lasting product. That is my opinion and that is the American way to screw the consumer. Sorry if I hurt someones feeling but it is what it is. You all have a great day
