Hey guys. new to the website. Seems like a cool place so far.

anyhow.. I have a 2005 Ram. and I want to add the factory navigation. BUT.. the 2006 radio and Nav is much better, bigger screen and all that. Its a different center dash than the 2005, i am wondering how huge of a pain it would be to swap the center dash so i could use the new stuff?

Am i way out in left field here or is this something that can be done?

To swap the dash would probably cost you more money than it would to buy a new head unit that has a better nav screen than the 06.

 

I figure you are probably right. I was hoping to wait a year or two and scavange junk yards and ebay for the stuff. I love to parts hunt.
