Thanks for the info. I picked it up from a 70 year old guy. It's all original (other than a new battery and the upper door seals) and he just did oil changes from his records. She's on her 2nd set of tires, which have 20k miles on them at 6 years old.

I've actually been driving her the way I'd think the PO would have, just so I don't jack up anything. All the reading I've done has me worried. :/

Don't worry about what you read, just keep it in the back of your head, it is useful info. to have. Keep up on the maintenance and enjoy.

 

Just drive it. I'm nearing 180,000 on my 02 and it runs great. If you try and baby it you'll build up all sorts of carbon.

Thanks all. I believe the PO was following the Schedule A Maintenance based on his oil changes and having everything checked, based on his maintenance log. Since this is now a Daily Driver, I'll take it in for a Schedule B 60K service on next oil change and start following the Schedule B Maintenance.

Got a shorty antenna installed. I like it a lot better. Reception is down a bit in the trees. I was hearing a whistling sound before the swap. Didn't know what was causing the noise, so I'll have to check if it's still there during lunch.


Also installed the K&N drop in and reset the computer. Have about 200 miles on it and it's adjusting nicely.

 

Got all the emblems removed. Front passenger fender gave me problems. I'll have to go back and remove the existing glue and then hit the area with rubbing compound and finish it with wax. Glad I picked up some touchup paint from the dealership.

 

Scored a painted bed cover over the weekend. The lower side trim on the driver's side is coming off. Anyone use the 3m products? I need to get the adhesive remover and some adhesive tape. Suggestions?

 

 

Got it all secure! Used the eraser wheel on the trim molding to remove the old adhesive.
