Transmission fluid change
I have a 2006 1500 Megacab, I changed the transmission fluid and both filters and filled with ATF +4 fluid. I have several trips on the truck and the fluid is at the "Full" mark with the engine in Neutral and up to temp. But the question I have is... after the truck sits for 6+ hours it acts like there is air trapped in the transmission, shift from park to reverse or drive and there is a hesitation of several seconds. This will happen only once if the truck is sits 6 or so hours... Could there be air trapped on the transmission cooler?? any ideas? The truck has 82,000 miles and the removed filters/fluid and magnetic plug were spotless.
Torque converter drain back.
Known issue on these trucks.
The spin on filter had issues which caused this, on early production revisions.
I can't remember the stamped revision number, but someone will chime in.
I would have thought they were all bought up/used by now. But you never know??

I just got a 2008 ram 2500 hd with a 6.7. Took it to a shop for tires and told them to change trans filter and fluid . Looked at the bill and it said filter and 7 qts dextron vi. Asked why they put that in . They said that is what the computer said and it was ok because it was full synthetic. I am pretty sure it's not ok. Should I have it flushed or what? The truck has 106 k on it. Thanks
