2006 dodge 5.7 idling problem
New to all of this but I have a problem that two garages can't figure out. First truck has 117,000KM -72,000 miles. Truck has been well looked after and no extreme driving. No problems at all with the truck. The engine light just came on and then the truck was running rough. i had the local garage check it out and the code said cylinder 4. Spark plugs changed and nothing resolved. Changed coil nothing. Took the truck to the Dodge dealership because got concerned that the engine light now started flashing and audible alarm every minute or so. Dodge check fuel system, swapped the injector still nothing. Suspected possible broken valve spring on #4.Pulled valve cover inspected nothing there. They tell me they did a number of other checks still nothing. I'm going to take it back on Monday.
I can drive it and in second gear does not run to bad. Low idle it is way worse.
Is it ok to drive for short distances. Does anyone have any thoughts.

yes compression test done all good.not sure what hard core dead cylinder means. always missing. at idle 600rpm and when low idle under load for example in gear with brake on close to stalling but the rpm does not seam to drop seams like the fuel supply or timing gets worse. also when driving and at low rpm 1000 to 1500 misses a lot. when i drive it in second gear beecause of the higher rpm it drives a bitt better but still missing. Thanks for feedback
Does anyone think it could be the EGR even though the computer is not picking it up. Or do I have a flakey computer. I think its simpler than in the motor but the computer is sending wrong signal. Is that possible.
