i bought and used a superchips 3865 tuner for my 05 dodge ram and i want to sell it so i returned my truck to stock but the tuner still has my vin # locked in.How do i clear the unit of my info so that its unlocked for use on another truck? it was used 1x before me and the old owner cleared his info then i bought and used it but now i cant clear my info.please help

 

You definitely set EVERYTHING back to stock? It will retain the last VIN used on it; what does the screen say when you plug it in?

 

I had the tuner set to 91 tune and i put the tires up to 33", so i retuned it back to stock and when i checked it the tuner also switched the tire size back to 31". The tuner is still locked to my vin

 

When i plug it into another truck it says: tuner is locked to another vehicle.

 

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Original owner of the tuner and had it linked to an 02 dodge ram 5.9. Bought a newer ram with a hemi, reset all settings back to stock and went to install a tune on the new truck and it was still vin locked to the 02. Problem was I had already sold my other truck. Just call superchips and explain that you put it back to stock and you can't link to another vehicle. They helped me out and reset mine for free.

 

3865? I have this one, I used it on my 2006 dakota 4.7. I now have a 03 2500 5.7. I use their site to see what one I can use, and it doesn't say 3865
