Default Tapping/ticking in engine

Just bought a 2008 Ram 1500 crew w 4.7 auto trans 164K miles. 1st Dodge I've ever owned. Upon first starting there is a tapping/ticking in the engine. While idling it will stop, then start, etc, continuing for as long as it's running. Can someone enlighten me what this is and whether I need to be concerned about it?

Check passenger side rear exhaust manifold bolts. They will break and cause exhaust leaks.

it isn't an exhaust leak, familiar with those. Full of oil, not yet time to change.

Lifter sticking? Try some MMO right before you change the oil
