Default Firestone RideRite

I took a chance with the folks at Napa and ordered the Firestone Ride Rite airbag system for the 2004 Ram because there is no application for the 2005 just yet. Well, it bolted in with NO modifications (thank you Lord) and the install was a snap. The compressor sits on a piece of diamond plate on the front driverside space between the grill and the ac condensor. Finding space for the gague and control was tricky but with some careful measuring you can place it directly under the cig lighter/acc plug and the white-face gague matches the factory stuff quite nicely. When ya pull the ashtray open and pull down the cup holder, the ol' lady MAY not even realize its there. We'll check back and let you know how the ride was effected shortly, and I cant wait to get in it and give it a try.

Post some pics when you can. Include the compressor and gauge so we can see how they fit.

OK, another item on the "to-do" list. I'll shoot some pics and post in the next day or so. The ride is virtually the same as long as you don't overinflate the bags. I run 5-10psi empty, and the ride remains as stock (which was pretty stiff anyway). The bags require the removal of the solid rubber bump-stops and the bags sit on brackets between the frame and leaf spring mounts on the centerline of the axle. I'm very pleased with this setup and leveling is as simple as pushing a button to level a heavy load. If there isn't rain in the next couple days, I'll shoot those pics.
