throttle position sensor

Default throttle position sensor

About to replace tps. Do I have to recalibrate the new one and if so how do I do it

Just disconnect the battery and let everything reset. You will be fine

Ive read that when you reconnect the battery, turn the ignition to the run position and not start. Then quickly push the accelerator pedal all the way down to WOT and then it go all the way fully back, 5 times in 10 seconds.
Then switch the truck to off.
When you start the truck, do not push on the pedal until a stable idle.
Weeds right in just connect back up the battery but apparently, the procedure above calibrates to TPS.
It couldn' t hurt right.

You're right Al. That's what the Srvc Man reads and the proper way to do it
