Default Replacing Brakes and Rotors

I'm getting ready to replace all brake pads and rotors soon and am looking for any info. on how the rotors come off. I have replaced pads and rotors on other vehicles before but this is the first time on my '07 Ram 1500 Quad cab 5.7L hemi. I have heard that there is more to taking off the rotors then just hitting them with a hammer if they're stuck. In my online searches, I am getting mixed information on this. Some pages are saying it is just a matter of taking off the caliper and pulling off the rotors and some are talking of removing a dust shield, cotter pin, and possibly removing a bearing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

remove calipers.. remove rotors.. done... maybe a little hammer. front and rears.

dust shield and bearing can be removed only AFTER the rotors are removed...

As said, the dust sheild can't be removed until after the rotor is removed. However the dust sheild is flexible enough that you can hit it from the inside and it will flex and transfer your hammer blow to the rotor.A soft-faced hammer is better than a steel one.

Yep its pretty easy. When I installed my leveling kit both front rotors came off easily. I actually didn't even have to bang anything but that its different from truck to truck lol.
