Well, buying a Creative Zen micro 5gb would have been a MUCH better use of your money, but Apple's commercials snag the gullible.

Rather than using an FM transmitter (which sucks), use an aux input converter (see link below). The FM transmitter gives crappy reception with a lot of static, while the aux input gives typical stereo-quality audio and even allows you to hook up 2 inputs.

Note that it cannot be used with the Nav Radio or with an CD changer.

I've got a 15gig ipod, can't see how the 5 gig would have been better, since as it is my 15 gig is full.

anyway I used an fm transmitter/charger from Monster, and it's ok if you can find an available radio station between 88.1 and 89.7 iirc. In the sticks it's ok, but close to big cities there are usually too many stations in that range and there's too much static.

A guy I know has a different kind of fm modulator that lets him pick any frequency in the FM band, works better - same sound quality just more channels to choose from.

It also can't be used with a RBQ 6 disk in dash changer.

Creative also makes larger ones. You people need to do your homework. The iPod isn't bad, but you're paying A LOT just for the stupid brand name... oh, for shame.

Read some reviews instead of listening to the 'pretty' commercials and you might just save a few dollars.
