Default Lamp Out

On my 2003 Dodge ram 1500 the lamp out light just popped up on my dash and I think I figured out where the problem is on my over head dash where it shows the temperature and the direction the left side of that is out, the buttons that change the the measurement units and the reset button, they don't light up like the other side when I turn my lights on... How can I get this off, and how can I fix that problem????

Usually it's a brake light, head light. I don't think it will come on for interior lights.

Check all your exterior lights first.

I've checked all of those my turn signals and everything is fine the only thing I can think of is on my back above my back window does that brake light light up when I turn my lights on or is it just when I press my brakes because I checked that and it turned on only when i pressed my brakes with my light switch turned on...I just want it to be off it is really annoying while driving at night having to look at that flashing on my dash.

The system is really sensitive the light out in mine kept going on and off and eventually one day a turn light went out you probably have one that is about to go

Per the owner's manual, this is the reason for the lamp out light.
22. LAMP OUT Light
The LAMP OUT indicator in the instrument cluster alerts
the driver if a defective bulb or wiring circuit is detected
for most of the exterior lamps - headlamps, turn signal
lamps, and stop lamps.

The center high mount stop lamp in the back window only lights up when you brake. See pg 366 in the Owner's Manual for the list of bulb replacements in case it is a bulb.

Do you have any aftermarket lights i.e. LED or HID? Or all they all stock filament bulbs?
