Default Key won't go into accessory setting

Title says it all, I used to be able turn the key backwards one click which would only turn my radio on, leaving the dash, fuel pump, and all that other stuff off. Just recently it seems as if something broke in the ignition switch as I can't put click it back once, and even clicking it forward to RUN is sometimes rough. What gives? Is this a dealer only fix?

You're on the right track.

First, try a different key if you have one. If it works, the other key a bad. If it doesn't work either, then the ignition is bad. You can buy new ones cheap

yea and if you indeed have a 2003 you don't need to worry about getting one that matches your current key.... you can buy a new one... only downside is you'll have to keep the old keys to open the doors and the new one to drive the truck... lol

Or take the door tumblers out and head to your local locksmith. When my keys were stolen I bought a new ignition cylinder, then went to the locksmith I use and was able to get a new set of tumblers to re-key the doors to match.

I say locksmith because I highly, highly doubt a big box key copy kiosk type store will be able to do this for you.
