2002 Ram 1500 - Revs high when it starts
I have a '02 Ram 1500 with the 4.7l engine with 145K miles. When I crank it in after it sits for a few hours it revs up to around 3500 rpm briefly before settling down to normal idle speed.
I'm guessing that's indicating the fuel injectors are leaking down while it sits. So I did an internet search for info on changing the injectors and found several places saying that leaking injectors just need the o-rings replaced. Is that correct, I only need to replace the O-rings or do I need to replace the injectors themselves?
If it's not the injectors leaking down, any suggestions what else might cause it to rev high when it starts?
