Default 5th Wheel Towing

I have an 08 Mega Cab Heavy Duty. My wife and I are looking at a 5th wheel to replace our bumper pull. The short bed concerns me a bit. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also, I am still looking for someone who has definitive information about the towing and 5th wheel towing capacity of the 1500 Mega Cab with the Heavy Duty package. Any info?

1500 mega is actually a 2500 frame and rear suspension I believe. The short bed will be an issue though with turning.

You will need to install a sliding hitch. May manufacturers have them. Depends on what you want to spend.

Perhaps a class IV or V receiver hitch is an alternative?

Default 5th wheel

all you need is a slider 5th wheel assy, works perfect and you will like a whole lot more than a tag a long .
