2006 ram bucket seats
I like the seats in my 05 (or older). The multifunction arm rest/seat/storage is pretty helful. The console in the 06 looks ok but it sure takes up a lot of space with the cup holders etc IMHO.
I have ordered an 06 Ram Big Horn with the bucket seats. I didn't really use the center storage in my 05 with the premium cloth package. I also did not like the cup holder in the 05, had a lot of problems with it not latching shut. That has been improved in the 06 though. The only complaint with the center console for 06 is that cheap *** fake wood. I'll be changing all that out though.
I can't for the life of me figure out what makes Dodge and Ford think that faux-burlwood plastic matches a grey interior. Ford does have the "sport" option thats not quite as fugly, using pretend carbon fiber instead of the red-toned imitation wood. The leather option on both trucks leave alot to be desired IMHO. Just my .02
As for looks, they appear pretty nondescript to me--nothing new here. Pictures of seats mean little; they MUST be sat in/on.
I agree, the fake wood is extremely tacky, to say the least. And, in a truck, no less. I'm sure DC thinks someone will not only like it, but pay extra for it.
Thanks for the post, though.

I like the split upper and lower portions of the center console. That being said, I prefer the console in my 04. It is big enough to put important papers in it, e.g. tests; and still have room left over for other stuff including sunglass case, carry gun, maglight, etc. THEN you have the under the seat portion which I put dog leashes, another flashlight, etc. Not to mention the ability to have 6 people instead of 5, but that is a minor consideration.
Yes, the faux wood looks horrible. I hated it when they had it in the new 2004 Durango and I guess the designers just transferred over the idea.
