Ok I'm replacing the bumper and whole 9 yards because my wife wants a tow hitch. She got a bumper from a friend that has the hitch attached and the whole 10 yards. I'm just wondering. It's a 2004 1500 do I need to lift the bed off to get this monster free

 

The typical receiver hitch doesn't require removal of the bumper. Have a picture?

 

The Hitches usually bolt to the frame the bumper shouldn't have anything to do with that...
