Got my replacement for the truck I took swimming in the ocean. Black, Hemi, QC, 4x4, tons of foolish options. Stickered at 36800 and I got it for 24900. I think I did pretty well. I really don't think that the Infinity stereo is any better, just a way to jack up the prices.

If anyone is looking for a new truck, go now. Everywhere I went they were trying to give away the 05's, but I still worked them down a little more.

This whole sinking my truck in the ocean thing ended up being pretty profitable. I highly recommend it to anyone with good insurance who doesn't like there current vehicle.

 

You are right, they are cheap. I was considering a SRT-10, but thought better of it. A reg cab SRT-10 can be had for around 35K.

Or get some swimming lessons for it. Glad to hear everthing worked out for you.

 

And, don't forget the 7/70 warranty on the '05 that's been dropped on the '06s! As for how you got it... well, that's another issue.

 

ya know i thought about doin the same thing, because i just liked the looks of the srt-10, dont really want the viper v-10, personally much happier with the hemi, but anywho, if found that it's cheaper to buy all the stuff to make the rams look like a srt-10 if you would start with a baseline slt reg or quad cab. so thats what i'm doing. i already have the frt & rear bumer, all the body kit peices, all interior pieces, spoiler, now just need the money to buy the hood and i'm ready to go. as for the rims, well still workin on that too, but i figure if i'm gonna spend the money it cost for the stock rims, might as well buy bigger aftermarkter rims

 

I did the same thing last year this time on an '04 and got about the same plus 0% that they were offering at the time. If anybody's on the fence about buying or trading, that's the way to go.

Next time you decide to go swimming, maybe take the dog out instead of the new truck. The dog dries off quicker.
