Default engine dies while driving

my 2003 dodge ram 1500 4.7L truck dies at varying rates of speed, the truck jerks, then the engine dies, if you place the truck in park, turn off the key then restart it you can resume driving. we have replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump still having the same issues. any suggestions as to what to go next? what about the auto choke / shutdown relay? anyone else have this problem?

Might be as simple as a bad/loose connection in the PDC or any power/ground connection

Not necessarily your issue but I had the same problem. It stalled while trying to warm up, when stopping at a light, and while making turns, and bucked like heck going up hills. I had the battery changed thinking that was the issue but it continued. I was using gas from a local station that was 10 cents cheaper than everyone else. I started going to a better station as I was told the one I was going to watered down their gas. It's taken a few tank fill ups but my problem has disappeared (at least for now). I was about to look at the same areas as you but this worked for me. I guess trying the simple cheaper things first is a good bet.
