Default unleak fuel-pump

Hi everyone!

I have long been a leak at the fuel pump. I think there are 2 options now:
- The gasket in the pressure line connection of the fuel pump
- The "Metal Box" which sits on top of the fuel pump unit is leaking (is that a pressure reducer?)

Now the questions
In the spare parts catalog, there are the obvious Dichtungg not individually. A whole fuel line install - need not be. Alternatives?
Does anyone know the size of the seal in the connector?

Has anyone ever "soldered" of you this "metal can" above the unit? It consists of 2 halves, which are apparently soldered. What's in there?

my car is an Dodge RAM 2500, HEMI 5.7, 2003

Thank you!

Rik

Default fuel leak

Replacing the line may be the only correct way to repair issue. Soldering is not a good recommendation.

Rik,

I looked through the FSM I have for my 2005, 5.7, and from what it reads, a number of different style connectors were used. I would recommend getting your hands on the FSM, Weedahoe has it for download, first, so you have a better idea of what you might need. Its possible all you really need is a gasket or o-ring, but its really hard to diagnose not seeing it first hand.
