im sry to start another exhaust thread but ive got a 05 4.7 6 speed with true duals with cherrybomb glasspacks its got 2.25 pipe from the cats back to the tips....an now my exhaust needs redone its rotten off almost....im keepin true duals an ordering new cherrybomb glasspacks an im now wonderin if I should go with 2.5 exhaust pipe or 2.25?

 

I would stick with 2.25 for the 4.7 but more importantly, if you have done a custom pipe setup previously but it is rotting (assuming from the inside out), are you going to use better pipe this time?

 

I take it to a local muffler shop to get my exhaust done....I live in va an salt does bad things to vehicles around here....the exhaust just pretty much burns up from the driving of the truck

 

an thanks I think I will stick with the 2.25 should I go 2.5 mufflers or stick with 2.25 mufflers also?
