I had a small leak from a hose under the truck bed which i fixed and cleared my check engine light. It was a p0442. I went to try to have my truck smoged but the smog tech said my evap system I/M showed not ready and needed to be driven more. This has been about a week now, 200+ miles and i'm wondering if there is a truck to get this system to check it self or if i need to do something else.

 

i had an evap leake a few months ago in my 03. It should only be between 40 and50 miles when the pcm is ready. But I don't clear the codes when I fix them I drive and let the cel go out when it sees the issue is fixed that way it only take a few miles to reset. Can't imagine why after 200+ it's not ready.
