I know this has been discussed a lot, and I have a couple screwed up nuts for sure. However I ask this because on most of my lug nuts a 7/8 socket fits but 22mm is too tight. Now if 22mm is truly the correct size when new & not starting to bulge, then I'm going back to the tire shop to see if they will make this right. The nuts aren't very old since I already had to replace a set a few years ago. Thanks!

They're 7/8. The problem is that they have that thin metal cover over them, and impacts destroy them, especially if they use a socket that's not a perfect fit. Last time I got tires, the shop got 2 of mine stuck in the impact socket. Tore one to shreds getting it out, and never did get the other one out.
