I am stumped ... Have an oil leak on my 5.7 hemi ... It's coming from drivers side front of engine ... Checked oil pan gasket also front and rear main seals are intact and oil free .. Looks almost like valve cover gasket but can't find a wet spot ... Not the oil filter ... I am at a loss ... I even replaced the oil pan gasket ... Cleaned every thing off wiped down and let it run in yard for 30 minutes no leaks drove it 5 mile round trip and front of engine and even engine oil on bottom of power steering reservoir... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
I did ... It's coming from the drivers front of motor ... I wondering are there any external pressure lines for oil that might have pin hole or is that where the oil pressure sending unit might be and it's cracked? But gauge is showing normal oil pressure
I think I have tracked it down ... After going over it again and again ... I noticed the breather tube from the filler neck to air cleaner had collapsed so I took it loose pressure washed the engine and drove it 10 miles with no more leaks .. I'll post any changes
