Not typical lamp out situation
Greetings! 2003 Dodge 3500 Diesel. Lamp out indicator chime and light up again. Last year I replaced the ignition switch, not the key switch. After heater and radio stopped working. Noticed the wire harness wires were burnt about 3/4" wrapped wires and installed switch. Ok for a short time. Then light out indicator and the lovely chime started again. Checked wires at tail lights, R&R lights, still lamp out indicator. All lights inside and out functional. I am curious if the FCM is malfunctioning.
I also today check the codes and got a P0483 radiator fan clutch. Fan clutch no problem.
I'm curious regarding the annoying lamp out indicator and chime. Could this be the FCM? I'm at a loss here. Thanks for your consideration.

The pcm and or fcm the same basic electronic item or different for different models?
With this lamp on indicator and no lamps out, wonderful chime which is more than annoying, life of driving this unit before chaos? I don't have a Dodge Dealership near, and need to use this vehicle. Any suggestions from anyone? I appreciate any useful information. Thanks!

The circuit board on the back of the light maybe to blame. Look for discoloration on the board. Or just get replacement. PCM and FCM are too separate things. I would check the boards first.
P38251........... Thanks a lot. I looked at the light, no visable indication of circuit board fry. However I touched one bulb ever so lightly and it slightly wobbled in the circuit board, R&R job and BINGO!! Lamp out indicator seemingly enough solved. Thank you Sir! It is greatly appreciated. Such a minor problem and such a monster headache.
