Hello. My girlfriend has an 06 4.7L 4x4 quad cab big horn and her 4x4 stopped working. She has about 80k on it and it worked fine one day then the next day she put it in 4x4 and it just blinked and then the service 4wd light came on. After it thawed out for awhile we tried it again and you can hear something moving but nothing engages. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Sounds like you may have a bad encoder motor.

 

She is taking it in tomorrow. Hopefully it's not to expensive.

 

Ended up being a bad actuator on the front diff. Thanks for the help guys.
