3rd gen shfter stuck in park.

I have an 02 Ram 1500, and I cant get the shifter out of PARK for some reason. What could it be?

Is it sitting flat, or parked on a incline?

Hope your shifter cable is not broken. Usually this problem is due to BTSI system (brake switch, BTSI solenoid, adjustment, etc.), feel if it is jammed at the shifter.
