Default Front Brake Pad Replacement

Hello all,

My friend owns a 2002 Ram 1500 with 4.7L V8 and wants me to help him replace his front brake pads. Does anybody know if you compress the caliper pistons with a C-clamp or do they screw in? He tells me that he's heard of some pistons that screw in. I've only worked on cars where you compressed it with a C-clamp and a block of wood.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Disregard fellas. I thought I had done a thorough search and have since found where I could download the service manual in .pdf form. Thanks a million to whomever posted that up.

Be sure to bleed the brakes when you push in the calipers on an ABS equipped vehicle. You don't want to force junk back into the sensors.

Does anyone know where to get a service manual for an 02? That site only goes back as far as 03.
