Default 07 dodge 1500

My 07 dodge truck 1500 4 hemi right after I start it an shift it into drive it goes in hard an it lags wanting to go fluid is fine an now it won't show what gear im in ! Who can tell me what's wrong with it ? It's an automatic to thanks

Sounds like you may have torque converter drain down. Is it ok if you let it run a little first.

I had to read your question a few times. Punctuation works wonders. When you checked the fluid, what do you mean by "fine?" It's clean and red or it's topped off? How did you check? Car warmed up running in park? Wiped the stick? Could be as simple as low level to clogged filter to bad pump in the trans.

I don't have an 07 so forgive my ignorance, but, these tell you what gear you're in? That's pretty cool actually. Not like I can't tell by feel but still.

When did the condition start? Are you hearing a unusual noise when shifting from "P" to "R" or "D"?
