What engines from what years and model will fit into a 2004 dodge ram 1500
without problems or Mods'

 

5.7's from 03-08 will fit, 06-08 engine from a 1500 or any LX car will have MDS (solenoids, lifters and cam are different). Engine from 06-08 2500/3500 will not have MDS. 03 5.7 does not have EGR, all others do. So pretty much all of those will work, you might just have to change a few things.

 

Mines a 04 4.7L W/O EGR will a 4.7l From 05 Engine work

 

It should, 03-07 should work. Avoid 02's, different crank tone ring.

 

Man thank you so much I have been scratching my head so hard trying to figure it out, Done spent 2900 on a engine hoping it would fit. Ill update with pictures of how it all goes.
