Default Please help with these codes!

2003 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi

I done the turning the switch 3 times thing and got the following codes:

P0171
P2173
P2106

I've read a lot from people on these codes and I'm getting 5 million different things on what needs to be replaced to fix it. Everybody says something different. Nobody really says what was replaced to fix these codes. After they fix the problem they don't get back on the forums to explain. If somebody has run into these codes and knows what to replace to fix PLEASE let me know.

Running rough - Lightning bolt flashing during driving and/or sitting at stoplight (cut engine off/start back up and fine) - Idle surging up/down - Bad gas mileage

Most of the problems didn't start until after I replaced the plugs, wires and cleaned the throttle body. The check engine light has never came on. Can somebody please help me? This is my wife's daily driver and it's going to leave her stranded one of these days.

I've heard that you can use non chlorinated brake cleaner so it won't damage the parts it's not supposed to hit.

You could try re cleaning with non chlorinated brake cleaner, and reset pcm. If you removed any plugs make sure they are good. May need to replace throttle body.

Default Update...

I have done the pcm reset and disconnected the battery for 15min. It has a little bit of a change but not much. Still idle surging and high. Now the ABS light and parking brake lights on the dash are on all the time now. The parking brake is not set. I have not checked for any new codes or driven it yet since i done the resets.

I don't know exactly how old battery is. I can look this evening. I would say no more than 2-3 yrs old. How would the battery have anything to do with it? It seems strong.

Newer vehicles require good battery and good charging system. Good battery is extremely important to electronics. Keep in mind these vehicles will run self tests whenever.
