Default Found better deal, now what?

I just bought my 05 Ram 1500 ST. I got a great deal at the time. I have had the truck two weeks now and love it so far. When I bought the salesman knew how much I wanted the quad cab. It was out of my price range at the time. Now I see the same dealership is selling the ST quad cabs for about the same price I just paid for my regular cab. Has anyone ever taken back a vehicle to trade it in after two weeks of ownership? I feel the salesman could have warned me as I would have waited a couple weeks to get the quad. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think you're hosed. You could go back and see, but chances are you will end up pulling out of pocket for it, nevermind taxes and such you would be paying double on.

Why would you think a dealer would tip you off that a more expensive truck is going to be in your pricerange at a later date? He wanted to keep you there and sell you a truck, no matter which one it was on the lot. He knew that if you left there waiting for "your" truck at a later date, you more than likely would have found what you were looking for at a different dealership.

You will get hosed, I would cost you several thousand dollars. But, you would NOT have to pay double taxes. You would have a tax credit/reduction for the trade in amount they give you for your current truck!

Right, so, he wouldn't be paying 2K or whatever the taxes end up being on the first truck (2Kx2=4K), but would he still not be responsible for the first purchase, and then the financed price less trade in of the second? Could be wrong, but I don't see how he'd get away without paying taxes on the first truck (the one he has now)... ?

Same thing happened to me also I wanted a Hemi Sport and they didn't have one. Two weeks later they have one for thousand more than what I got my Slt sport for. I want to take it back and give them the thousand dollars difference and get the one I want. Doesn't it just P$@@ you off.
