Default Pulling heads on a 4.7

Does anyone have any experience doing a head job on a 4.7? I have a couple of minor questions....

I never have but are you loosing coolant?my last truck was a 4.7 and mine went bad was loosing lots of coolant ended up being the heads went 4.7s are known for this.try looking on youtube may be some vids on it.good luck.

Hope this helps. Recently dropped a valve thingy (cup, seat ,seal) on cylinder 2 back in November had to remove head etc. The following link was excellent followed it step by step took loads pics as i went just incase

Thanks for the help guys. Gorhad, what did you do about the tool to hold the cam from turning while removing the cam gear? I don't have the "proper" tool, I was gonna just mark everything real good and just kinda wing it.
