Default O2 sensors

I hope I am in the right place for this thread this time!? I have read several times in this forum where the collective opinion is to purchase OEM oxy sensors as opposed to after market (Bosch,NGK,etc.) at double the cost. I am trying to get my brain around why this would be. I am not challenging this opinion just trying to figure out why it would be so. Please save the wise cracks for someone else, if the quality is not as good, in what way does the quality differ?

You nailed it. Quality. Apparently one thing the manufactirer is good at, making O2 sensors, or at least making it so the truck prefers OEM. Kinda like switching spark plugs. Engine is tuned to a certain plug, certain sensor, etc. Throwing aftermarket in, which may or may not have the exact characteristics or specifications as the OEM can lead to issues.
