Factory 20s

I have a set of chrome factory 20s the kinda rolled style an it seems like they have clear coat on em or somethin? An it's pealing? An it's oxidizing? How can I get em to shine like factory I like how they look if they were cleaned up

I checked into getting my factory 17's refinished at a local paint shop for the very same reasons. The guy quoted me nearly the price of a new wheel.

You might consider getting them unmounted, then take them to a sandblasting company and having the clear coat removed, then getting them powder coated or repainted to a color you like with base coat/clear coat or similar.

I'm looking into getting the steel wheels on my dually blasted then epoxy coated by a company up near where I work, they do industrial tank coating.

When I had my 04 I had the same rims and same problem. I can't help you with your problem but I can tell you I had no plastic covers over mine. I think they started the covers in 05.

Not all. My original 03 flower petal 20's are polished aluminum. Some of the newer 20's on the lastest 4th gens are as well.

They might not. From the pic it looks like the clear coat is crazing on you. I have thse marks around the lug holes and valve stems.

How the best way to get em back polished? Remove the clear coat?
