Default 04 Hemi, Need Exhaust spring help, Multi Cyl mis fire ?

Hi, I get a 0300 Multi cyl Misfire and the truck runs real bad if I get on it it clears up. This comes and goes, I replaced Wires and plugs and also cleaned Throttle body. I have read that this is a common problem and it appears to be Exhaust Valve related. Does this sound it could very well be my issue?

I figured That I'll order New Springs for the exhaust, Are the OEM 5.7 springs that I would get now when I order them Revised and good to use? I have no plans of putting a bigger cam in so I don't need after market ones. What is the part Number?

Do you know the Part Number for the spring compressor?

Any tips? Can I just air the cylinder up to keep Valve from falling?

Anything else i need to order or just tool and springs ( 16 of them )

Thanks

I would recommend a compression check first. What did you install for plugs? Try some sea foam in the tank. Check fuel pressures.

A broken spring doesn't fix itself. Your symptoms don't match a broken spring, either. Mine wouldn't idle at all and ran like crap otherwise.

When its missing it wont idle at all, I researched this for hours and everyone that was having my issues ended up having a broken Valve spring, Google 04 Ram 1500 Hemi 0300 Code or 04 Ram 1500 Hemi Multi cylinder Misfire.

Most people though part after part at it and it turned out to be a Spring.

the come and go part.. broken is broken... not semi-broke.

compression test.. tells a lot...
second, is spark test... intermittent coil pack...
third, test injectors...

do not replace parts.. for the sake of replacing parts...
prove what is failing.. then replace...
tried and true method... 100 years plus..

I have just heard and read tons of stories on these forums about broken springs in the 04, so even if it isnt the problem isnt it smart to just replace them anyway?

Why replace parts that may or may not fix the problem. You should trouble shoot more. Unless you have tons of money, and just want to throw parts at it.

You are NOT looking at the larger World..

yes broken springs.. but the failure is like 20 percent .. maybe less... many go 150K without failure....

many post of the failure.. and almost ALL do not post because there's DID NOT FAIL...

I understand that only people with broken ones post, It just seems its common recommendation on the forum to change the springs.

So I Replaced Plug With stock plugs and gap, Wires look good and are OEm only a few years old, I cleaned Throttle body and PCV, Two cans of seafoam, and Ill prob replace all the o2 sensors do to there age.
