APC retro tailight problem
Hi, this is my first post here and I am asking for some help with a minor problem.
I just put some APC retro carbon fiber tail light lenses on my 04 Hemi and they look sharp and the bulbs and functions work fine, except I am getting a "lamp out"light on the dash and an annoying ding every time I use the darn turn signals. Has anyone else had this occur with these APC lenses? And is there any fix? These APC lights take you from 3 bulbs to 2 so I am thinking this has something to do with my problem right? I suck at electrical stuff........lol
Appreciate any reply

You need a resistor across the leads of the light that is missing..
Check this page http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR (page loads slow)
U want the "RL-650 Load Resistor kit" towards the bottom of page..... U'll need two
The resistor fools the computer into thinking you still have a lightbulb on the end the wire,,,be carefull where u mount the resistor !! It gets hot. attach it the metel inside the fender away from wires or plastic.
The wiring is simple...in your case your going to use the resistor as a "jumper" put one end in the postitive of the empty light socket, and the other end in the negative of the light socket,,,,secure somehow,,,and your done. I don't think the resistor has a pos and neg so it should not matter which end you put where,,,but check the instuructions first

50stuf,
I purchased a set of chrome apc lights for my 2005 ram. I had the same problem. I called APC and they said oh, we thought we caught all those lights. That is what they told me, they said send them in with the receipt and we will replace or go to the direct distributor source. I said I bought them on ebay. They said they couldnt do anything about it since it was an ebay purchase.
