Default squeaking like a 1950 Chevy Stepside

I have a 2004 1500 5.7 Laramie crew cab and towards the end of winter it has started squeaking and creeking really bad. Ever bump I hit...If I rock it side to side when parked it squeaks.

Sounds like dry leaf springs..

Any thoughts on what to look at at as I can't pin point where the damn squeaking is coming from

Dry leaf springs. Rust between spring packs. The little plastic disc's break as well. Dry A arm bushings will make noise as well. You can spray it down with wd, see if that helps. Will not last long.

Use white lithium grease. It sticks/stays longer than wd.

Sounds like mine when the lower ball joints were bad.

I had the same thing, it ended up being the ball joints. I believe the OEM ones arent greaseable; over time they just wear out. My truck (an '03) had never had maintenance done on them. Like P23851 said, Control arm bushings could be the culprit as well.

Correct, not greaseable. Many, including me, go with MOOG greaseable replacements.
