Blend Door Replacement 2002 Dodge Ram 1500
So I bought my '02 Ram a few months ago. I found out recently that my AC didn't blow cold air. I took it in and got a new compressor unit put in it. It blew cold air only on the driver side and warm air on the passenger side for a day. The next day it blew warm air out of all the vents. I tried looking up information and decided it was probably the blend door. I took the dash out and could see that the recirculating door works and I know the mode door works because I can isolate the air to windshield, feet and vents. That leaves the blend door. I took the actuator off and moved the blend doors with my hands. They felt good. I put the actuator back on and turned from hot to cold and was able to watch the actuator rotate the rods that close and open the doors. I cannot physically see the doors close because I can't figure out how to get to them. If they open and close what else could it be? I took it back to the shop and they checked everything on the other side of the firewall and it's good. So it's got to be a problem on the inside. Suggestions?
